Catherine joined the Board Of Directors of Lead Safe America in July of 2014, taking over the position of Board Secretary.
Catherine began her work life in the healthcare field where she provided community outreach, training, and clinic management for ten years. She received her MBA in Organizational Behavior and Development from George Washington University and transferred these skills into the private sector. In this arena, she provided team and executive training and management consulting for ten years. In 2003, she integrated her interest in public health and environmental issues with her experience in customer service and marketing to found Eco-Strip LLC.
Eco-Strip is the US distributor of the Speedheater™Infrared Paint Remover from Sweden. The attraction of this product for Catherine is its unique benefits as a paint removal technology for problematic lead-based paint.
Her dedication to lead poisoning prevention education with DIY homeowners and professional contractors steered her to LSAF. Her other commitment to historic preservation provides the challenge of reconciling two often-conflicting social movements.
Catherine was one of the first Lifetime Sponsors of the Lead Safe America Foundation, and she was also one of our very first donors back in 2011 when we were first founded. Thank you so much for your ongoing support of the work of the Lead Safe America Foundation, Catherine – we would not have gotten as far as we have without your support!
