HB2715 E-mails

In response to the interest in my petition to encourage the City of Portland to help the Portland Public School District clean up existing lead hazards in our public schools here in Portland, Oregon – I will be searching my archives and posting relevant emails regarding my efforts to get an Oregon State law passed that would have accomplished this same goal.  This law was passed in early 2012 – However, by the time it was passed it was watered down to nothing – mandating nothing more than the creation of a website with information about lead hazards in schools.  To my knowledge nothing is being done to promote this website.  I do not know the URL for this website, and I don’t believe this site (if it still exists) is doing anything to protect our children from existing lead hazards in schools.

My “nickname” for this law was  “A.J.’s Law.”

Thanks for reading.
