Later tonight 10 lucky people will be chosen to win one of TEN Lead-in-Water test kits from CertifiedKit.com… Winners will be chosen after 9 pm on New Year’s Eve (because I’m a mother of lead poisoned kids and as a passionate children’s advocate, there’s nothing I’d rather be doing for my New Year’s Eve this year than to be at home giving away these water test kits to our winners! (Honestly!) #MyIdeaOfFun!) [I’ll go out and celebrate a bit after the raffle… I promise!]
Here’s how to enter to win:
- Find an article about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan (Search the web or …we have some good ones you can check out right HERE.) **
- Share the article link on your social media account (your Facebook Page or Twitter Feed)
- Post a link to where you shared it here in the comments on the following link: http://leadsafeamerica.org/flint2015/*
- That’s it! You’re entered to win. (If you can work a hashtag or two into your post that would be terrific… we’re suggesting: #StandWithFlint, #FlintWaterCrisis & #FlintWater! (Thanks for the nudge, Sandy!))
Thank you for playing!
*(both Facebook and Twitter have an option to copy the link to a post or you can just copy the link to your page from the top of your browser)
Let’s use this last day of 2015 to create a broader, nationwide awareness for the water crisis in Flint. This is not just an issue for Flint—but an issue to be concerned about for every older town in America, as lead-contaminated water – in our children’s homes and schools across the U.S.– continues to “pop up” in communities throughout the country, appearing momentarily on the news and subsequently retreating back into the general unconsciousness surrounding this universal issue.
**The best explanation we’ve heard (explaining why there are currently high levels of lead in the water in Flint) can be heard in Melissa Harris-Perry’s coverage from the other day… click HERE for that link.
Happy New Year!
