Lead Safe America Foundation
Board of Directors
San Francisco, California
Jessica is a psychotherapist in private practice in San Francisco. Her undergraduate work was in photography and film, and she spent many years working on a personal documentary about her Jewish family’s survival in France during WWII.
Jessica became passionate about healthy living through her own health struggles, on her path to becoming a mother, and most recently as a home owner doing an extensive renovation of her 1906 home. She had the opportunity to create a “healthy home”, researching and vetting every material that was used in her renovation. It was quite an education!
Living in a city full of buildings more than 100 years old, the risk of exposure to lead came onto Jessica’s radar when she was pregnant with her son. Tamara was a resource for her at that time, and helped her to prevent exposure in her pre-renovation home. She has since spoken with dozens of people about what she has learned from Tamara, sharing information with contractors, pediatricians, and many parents.
Jessica has been an admirer and supporter of Tamara’s work with Lead Safe America and MisLEAD, and plans to continue to provide feedback, networking support, and do whatever she can to further the cause in San Francisco and nationally. She is honored to serve on the Lead Safe America Foundation Board of Directors.
Jessica was voted onto the Board in July of 2015 and replaced Board Member Jonathan Klane who stepped down at that time.
