Tamara Rubin, Executive Director of the Lead Safe America Foundation (based in Portland, OR) will be in town testing your things for toxic heavy metals.

Bring an item or two (or 5!) to be tested – for free – and she will instantly (results in as little as 30 seconds) be able to tell you if it contains lead, mercury or arsenic (you might be surprised). With some items she’ll also be able to confirm the actual percentage of gold, silver, or platinum that mysterious piece of jewelry contains.

Lead Safe America Foundation is a 501(c)3 advocacy organization committed to protecting children everywhere from environmental toxicity.
