When Tamara Rubin, our Executive Director, was selected to win the Health Child Healthy World Mom On A Mission award in 2011, her first impulse was to connect with the previous years’ winners – so she could support them in their causes as well, and strengthen the network of parent activists working together to protect our children from environmental toxicity.
Penelope Jagessar Chaffer was Healthy Child Healthy World’s 2010’s Mom On A Mission award winner – and she too is working on a documentary film that is geared at educating parents and protecting children!
With her project, she’s approaching the concept “documentary” in a wholly new way, however – having designed the world’s first “interactive documentary app”!
She has a Kickstarter project running right now for the next 11 days (through May 19, 2014.) We made a backer pledge – and we encourage you to take a look, read her profile, watch her video and consider backing the project as well.
Remember – every dollar/pledge makes a difference in the “land of Kickstarter”!
As part of our mission, Lead Safe America Foundation also serves as a fiscal agent for parent-advocate lead projects or projects that protect children from environmental toxicity. Toxic Baby was one of the first projects that we served as a fiscal agent for – and we are proud to have played a small role in helping Penelope get this important project into the world.
