Have you ever wondered whether that
or antique dish
was safe for you or your child?
Your house, Your city, Your friends!
Tamara Rubin, National Healthy Homes Hero award winner and Executive Director of the Lead Safe America Foundation (based in Portland, OR) will be on-site testing your things for toxicants.
She will instantly (in as little as 30 seconds) be able to tell you if it contains lead, mercury, cadmium or arsenic (you might be surprised). She’ll also be able to confirm the actual percentage of gold, silver, or platinum that mysterious piece of jewelry contains.
Lead Safe America Foundation is a 501(c)3 advocacy organization committed to protecting children everywhere from environmental toxicity.
- Older painted or plastic toys,
- everyday dishes,
- grandma’s china,
- costume jewelry,
- pots and pans,
- hand-me-down toys or
- vintage pieces.
Free lead-paint test kits (to test the paint in their home) will be given to all who get something tested!
Testing events are both an outreach and education program of Lead Safe America Foundation and also represents the opportunity for us to raise funds to bring testing events to under-served communities that do not otherwise have these resources.
