Tim Walters works in the field of lead hazard remediation and has been doing environmental work for more than 20 years. [We met Tim at the Lead Safe America Foundation booth at the Phish “Magnaball” concert in the summer of 2015 in upstate New York . He saw our sign and incredulously said “is that ‘lead’ [leed] or ‘lead’ [led]?”—as he was astonished to see a lead poisoning prevention booth at the concert of his favorite band!]
Tim has since become a good friend of the Foundation, serving as a panelist for our preview screening of the film in Brattleboro, Vermont (October 2015) and also joining our secret Facebook parent support group for parents of lead poisoned children – acting as a volunteer, offering advice and support to parents in crisis looking to protect their children from being exposed to lead in their homes.
Tim also has a Phish-related side business making custom tie-dyed t-shirts – often in matching “Father/Son” size combinations. Through Tongue-Tied Tie Dye Phactory Tim is again supporting Lead Safe America by donating a prize to our raffles this year: a set of four beautiful matching custom dyed t-shirts! Please check out his Facebook page, and think of Tim next time you are in the market for some custom tie-dyed shirts! 🙂
Thank you Tim for all you do!
