As the parent of adult children with disabilities, Owner Gene Elwell is no stranger to the importance and critical nature of early detection and prevention—especially when it comes to neurotoxic poisons like lead, that cause permanent brain damage in young children.
Gene and his partner, Ed Eckart formed their company in 2007 and after years of R&D, in 2010 they were issued a patent, and after conducting clinical trials, in June of 2014 TOXYScreen.com was officially launched.
According to Gene, they have pioneered a new saliva-based testing technology that is
“…an accurate, safe & painless way for a parent to administer a simple oral-swab test to assess the body-burden of toxicants like lead, mercury and cadmium in a child at home…”
“…our method of testing is easy, economical, efficient and environmentally friendly…”
“…this is an exciting new tool useful not only for it’s obvious advantages in testing of children for heavy metals exposure, but for also for adult occupational exposure testing, pro sports and security-clearance environments – which both require routine ongoing screening for illegal substance use, medical screening for senior citizens and cancer screening—and anyone who doesn’t want the expense and hassle of needing a doctor’s office-visit for a test or those who might prefer the privacy of testing at home (or for employers/employees, the convenience of testing at work.)”
Thank you to TOXYScreen for coming on board in supporting the Lead Safe America Foundation and our work protecting children from environmental toxicity.
