We acknowledge correspondence within three business days. Substantive correction requests are evaluated against our Editorial Standards and, when warranted, result in a public correction notice on the affected article with a dated note.

Pitches and contributions

Lead Safe America accepts pitches from credentialed contributors. Contributors must hold relevant credentials (clinical licensure, public-health training, environmental health expertise, or equivalent) and must agree to our review and source-attribution standards.

What we do not handle

• Individual clinical advice — we do not advise on personal medical decisions. Contact your healthcare provider, your state health department, or call the CDC Information Line at 1-800-232-4636.
• Legal advice — we do not provide legal counsel on landlord-tenant lead disputes, real-estate transactions, or regulatory compliance. Contact a licensed attorney.
• Free home or water testing requests — we do not maintain testing programs. See our Get Tested page for federal, state, and local resources.
